How could one NOT have a subjective favourite, true one that touched them most positively at the time. If you are going to try to rate “best” (even though that’s still subjective) maybe you want to watch them over a bit. But favourite? That’s absolutely legitimate no maters how many times or when you saw them. This 👆 Quote
Bear Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 oh hell yeah they brought out the song used at the super bowl Quote

Because Tokyo’s actual ceremonies was poorly done by Dentsu after they kicked out Mikiko, who directed Tokyo’s Handover in Rio in 2016. She was gonna direct the actual 2020 ceremonies of covid didn’t exist Quote

All I remember is him being on top of the Stade de France, acting all attention whore like, & then automatically being on the stadium floor. Did he really "zip-line" down the stadium? But anyway, so far not impressed with the L.A. 2028 handover. It's really blah. The Paris handover was WAY better. Agreed. Sort of went downhill after the anthem. Also, sort of embarrassing that the LA Super Bowl did this Snoop segment better lol Quote
olimpicgamer Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 Truth is, US can keep half of the world entertainment with their singers alone. So many options for their ceremony. I'd do something Holywood themed! Quote

sebastien1214 Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 Because of global warming we now have the SuperBowl in August. And people want to see the Olympics in Doha in 2036?! Quote
kevzz Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 Ok it’s dragging a bit too long now with all these singing. Need to see something more other than pop act Quote

İf 36 games will be in Indıa or Istanbul that would be something to watch i guess. totally different cultures and put everything they have for this one shot event Quote
Ikarus360 Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 Of course, Snoop couldn't help himself and had to sing about how much he loves weed. Quote
rio2016man Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 At this point snoop Dogg is America's uncle Quote
Scotguy II Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 THE GAMES HAVE NOT BEEN OFFICIALLY CLOSED or did i miss that? Quote
Bear Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 huh, i swore they said there would be an in-stadium component (unless they were only referring to the tom cruise bit) Quote
MisterSG1 Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 Just now, Bear said: ur jealous of us huh I could say that about Toronto, look up my city which is a suburb of Toronto called Brampton, once was the stereotypical ideal of suburbia, now it’s a total craphole. Toronto could have hosted 2028, but we decided not to play ball with the IOC as there was almost nothing in it for us. Quote

Ikarus360 Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 I don't know what to think about that handover. Paris did the prerecorded handover better in 2021. They should've done more stuff in the stadium than just Tom Cruise Quote
kevzz Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 On another note, does anyone know what did they do with all the selfies the winning athletes took on the medal podium? They were all given a special selfie camera to take it. I thought they might have a compilation of all these selfies in the closing ceremony but seems unlikely now…. Quote
