Scandal!!!! They just announced Thomas Bach as "president of the International Olympic Committee", without mentioning his fencing gold medal in 1976! I guess those two announcers won't ever find employment again.

One of the two announcers is a very well-known TV host in France, the presenter of the French version of Survivor. Don't worry about him.

And the flag has been passed to a black woman for the first time in history. I hope that this will happen with the US presidential flag in November as well.

The BBC One programme of the ceremony was supposed to end at 10:30, presumably including rounding up. I assume the ceremony was supposed to end at 10. 34 minutes ago :ph34r:
