I think It's mainly that... well it looks like a ceremony in a stadium. So inevitably, when the opening didn't take place in the stadium, it gives this disconcerting impression. (well it plays)

It’s all a bit bizarre, but boring (so far) it’s not. I don’t think the stadium audience have a clue about what’s happening though.

I thought Paris would have brought the party vibe to it's ending but they are definately mourning the games end.

This feels more like an opening ceremony. But still way too dark and sombre.

For a moment I was afraid that the pianist and the piano could crash when it started to bounce. 

But I agree, it feels very, very somber for a closing ceremony right now. But maybe it is intentional to make us think about the future of our planet. Something that Rio 2016 did very well (in my opinion) in their opening ceremony. Sometimes it is necessary to mix the joyous with the serious.

im a fan of Rupaul eveni can fight for Marcy' lipsync with antera was a double shantay but this not the place to promote or show things like that. everything has its proper place.

The scenography and the vertical piano are cool and everything, but the mood is even somber than Tokyo's opening and that was a very funeral like ceremony.

When the commentator explained the “Records” concept, I thought it sounds really interesting and can be really cool. This is nothing like what I imagined.
