Well done to the volunteers. Now can we stop this shame of taking volunteers and not paying them? Their work was essential to the organisation of the Games. They must be paid. I don't care if it means increasing the price of the Games by €500 million.

I like that the protocol segments were done first and in day light. It seems it went faster. But it would've been good to have something artistic to grab my attention.

In fact, it is the very concept of volunteering in the context of the Olympic Games that I find unacceptable. (but yes, it goes against the concept, we agree)

One of the German TV commentators just said about Thomas Jolly that he feels bored after one-and-a-half minutes. So why did he then stage an opening ceremony that took forever in some parts?
