I think we're hearing the live stadium audio and the TV feed at the same time, half a second apart. Someone needs to fix it.

I guess it's only because the women's marathon took place today instead of the men's marathon (as was customary during Olympic Games until now). We will see when Los Angeles will stage the marathon races and which sex they will let start.

And appropriately, we will now hear the Dutch anthem at this closing ceremony. I mean, the Netherlands really pulled all punches at these Games in terms of their medal tally. They must have one of the best medal-per-citizen ratios at these Games.

Queen’s We Are The Champion is always such a crowd pleaser. Those few close-up shots of athletes belting the chorus are so moving and personify everything they have fought for, esp. those who won a gold medal.
 

I hope they play this in LA closing ceremony and set up the cameras properly to only show close-ups of different athletes singing to this song.
