England In Water Plea To Fifa

Recommended Posts

Very interesting article. Thanks for that.

Well, who would have expected that the beginning of this World Cup would become so hot? Here in North Rhine-Westphalia where the World Cup cities of Cologne, Gelsenkirchen and Dortmund are located, we currently have the highest temperatures of whole Germany -- 30 ºC. Just two weeks ago, it was so cold here that we had snow even in the lower parts of the Alps and that especially the African and South American players who trained here almost froze in on the field.

In terms of the debate whether the stadium roofs should be closed: That's a bad idea indeed. Additionally, the shadows on the field don't bother me -- I can still follow the matches on my TV screen, it doesn't disturb a lot.
