Look/OC content for Milano 2026

I would think that this Carnavale richness of Venice's celebrations will play into either the Milano 2026 look or into one of their Ceremonies.  I can't see how it cannot?

I was a bit surprised Italian Opera didn’t feature much at Torino. Surely this time, in the home of La Scala, it’ll have to take prominence.

It would've been saluting their Lombard rival to the north, Milano, hence it featured Pavarotti's swan song (but was pre-recorded).  Of course, Pavarotti was from Modena I think.

Its a tricky path for a host city to come up so soon after another Games in the host country. Atlanta got to add a different flavour because Georgia is culturally a world away from California. 

I remember 2006 having a very strong emphasis on industrial design and fashion.  It was very regional. Given the spread across northern Italy, including regions near Venice, perhaps Baron is right -- it could be a more national theme that celebrates the cultures of multiple regions.

Speaking of Opera and Venice, just one name pops up.. Vivaldi! And his winter suite oc.!

Opera featured at the end of the 2006 OC with the late Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma which turned out to be his last public performance. HIs performance was pre-recorded due to health conditions.
