Who's going to Paris this summer?

I think I might if all the piece fall into place.  But I would go towards Closing -- maybe catch a gold-medal Indoor Volleyball game if either US team makes it to the finals -- and maybe chance a last-minute ticket for the Closing.  There are always a few available last minute.

I was really, really hoping and planning to. I’ve mentioned how I’m gonna have a fairly close relative of mine likely competing this year. But let’s just say I’ve had some health circumstances come in the way making it impractical to go at that time frame. I’m a bit pissed off at that.

It's still 6 months away, maybe things will take a turn for the better for you.

I’m due to have an operation come April or May. Which isn’t the problem - it’s the recovery/after affects that are likely to restrict my mobility and ability to travel for six months to a year.

Got it.  Indeed.  What is it -- 20-hr flights to Europe?  Pity.

The good thing is I guess I’m going to have the perfect excuse not to get up from the couch in front of the TV screen come July.

I should have been watching the Opening Ceremony tonight from Bordeaux where I'd planned to take in some football tomorrow before heading to the Parc des Princes on Sunday. Sadly, I've had to scrub that for various reasons though I intend to make a brief trip over during the Paralympics in late August.
