Mercer has Tokyo; Swiss Bank UBS has London. However, EIU has OSLO as the most expensive city in the world for 2006.

3. Reykjavik, Iceland

4. (tie) Osaka, Japan and Paris, France

6. Copenhagen, Denmark

7. London, UK

9. Geneva, Switzerland

10. Helsinki, Finland

What I really wanted to post, as my first one before my computer decided to take a vacation on me, was how such articles could really mean anything. What does having such a "rank" do anyway?  :suspect:

Well, I suppose it does help you if you're negotiating a living allowance when you're posted by work to one of those more expensive cities.

I have to admit that is a good point, roltel, because I have never experience living in such cities before in the positive light. Besides, how much money per year would an average Oslo citizen need to live on, given this ranking?
