With the Shantou 2021 Asian Youth Games been cancelled in the Chinese port city due to COVID-19 concerns and the country's Zero-COVID policy, the next edition will be held instead in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan. It will be the first time that Uzbekistan has hosted an OCA event.
