ADS SWAMPING GAMESBIDS.Com - Spend to Update

To Gamesbids.com administrators 

With all the income Gamesbids.com must be making from all the annoying in-your-face roadblock spam ads, which have been annoying Gamesbids members for a long time now,  

is there any chance that some money can be spent on actually updating and improving Gamesbids.com

Gamesbids.com administrators and moderators have been very silent on this.

Let’s start with the obvious glaring problemscin the Forums section:

1. Respectfully,  PAST GAMES should be moved into their own clickable section.   Not like the long list of Past Games which currently have been left to wallow in their current prominent positions as if they are “still happening right now”

Below are the Past Games highlighted with yellow.

 

 

Come on Gamesbids administrators, lift your game.  Your own website is being carelessly left to decay before our eyes.

2.       CURRENT AWARDED GAMES MISSING

            Your have completely left off not one, but two current officially awarded Games

• Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and
• Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

      Seriously, where are they?

Let’s start with the obvious glaring problems in the Forums:

1. Files and Folder areangement is chaotuc and all over the place
2. Respectfully,  Past Games should be moved into their own section.   Not like the long list of Past Games which currently have been left to wallow in their current prominent positions as if they are “still happening right now
3. You’re completely missing two awarded current Summer Olympic Games:     Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032

4. There is no editing or deletion functionality.

5. The software running Forums is obviously very dated.    Take a look at the emojis.

6. No Image sharing and video uploading.

7. Gamesbids Forums is sliding into a sad state of decay.

You're literally having a meltdown over a PRIVATE site which does not belong to you. If its impacting your wellbeing to such a degree (which it appears to be) I suggest you take your energy/contributions to another forum.

Irrelevant.  Forums on Gamesbids is a website which is publicly available to the public to make contributions.

One of the important stakeholders in the Forums on Gamesbids.com are the fans and contributors.

@Australian Kiwi you have now very publicly tried to get personal and deflect the issues and suggestions for improvement on Gamesbids forums. 

No-one’s having a melt-down, so you need not worry about that.   But I do suggest, however,  that if you’re embaressed or uncomfortable at another fan’s suggestions for contructive improvments, then maybe you who need to look the other way.

Members posting multiple lengthy posts back to back in a short period of time is a much bigger issue than the ads here - just went in the London 2012 Memories thread expecting to see a couple of pages of forumers memories but just got a repost of anyone who'd mentioned it on Twitter, which TBH we'd read at the time.    Seems odd we're restricted on how many times we can "react" to posts in a day but there is seemingly no restriction on posting.

 

Overall though I appreciate that this site is still here - I've seen a couple of long running forums in other areas disappear in recent years as those who launched them move on with their lives and don't need the headaches of the members anymore.    That said though 100% agree the admins need to tidy up the forum menu page and archive the forums dedicated to past games.
