baron-pierreIV
the promoter forgot that it's NO LONGER called "Saigon." Speaking of people who don't do their homework. And of course, if Vietnam ever bid, it would probably be wtth HANOI, not Ho Chi Minh City.

But (and I do survey cities with an “Olympic” eye), I couldn’t ever see it hosting a games - too crowded, packed, old, still needs a LOT of modernisation and development. I recall they were due to host the Asian Games (or maybe SE Asian Games) in the recent past, but had to give them up (and quite late in the picture too) because they just weren’t up to it.
Sir Rols
Just checked - they were due to hold the 2018 Asian Games, but gave them up to Jakarta
munichfan
Love how there's just your random snowboarder in there. Climate change really gets crazy these days. Any of the aspiring Asian cities (that includes the likes of India and Indonesia as well) will have a hard time to outperform the likes of Korea, Japan and China - even if they should meet all the requirements at some point. I guess, Seoul might be the one to beat for 2040/44.
