Aronious
Gamesbids World Cup Competition 2018 As agreed by most, I propose to postpone the 2028 Summer Olympic competition and begin Gamesbids.com’s first FIFA World Cup Fantasy Competition. Applications for the competition will now be received with competition dates to be finalised soon. The competition will end at the conclusion of the Germany 2006 FIFA World Cup. The Gamesbids World Cup Competition will allow you to nominate your own FIFA World Cup bid to challenge others for the right to host the 2018 Football finals. Please note that geopolitics and the FIFA “rotation” policy do not apply in this competition. All previous World Cup finals hosts have no bearing on the outcome of this competition, though it is suggested that no bids are received from the immediate last hosts (Japan/Korea and Germany). In your bid you must outline the following (in a bid document no more than 15pages). 1. Concept Your unique idea’s that set your host apart from the other bidding cities. 2. Region/Nation (s) Information Information for visitors about what your city offers the FIFA World Cup and what aspects make it the perfect host. 3. Transport and Infrastructure What is already in place and what you plan to develop for the finals. 4. Accommodation What is already in place and what you plan to develop for the finals. This will include accommodation for visitors, competing teams and their officials and FIFA deligates. 5. Security How you plan to keep the finals series secure if your bid is successful 6. Culture What distinct culture defines your host country, region or nations? 7. Football Culture A good host must also have a strong football culture, explain why your host has the backing of the football world. 8. Venues and Host City You must provide adequate venues across several host cities to host the Games, outline your venues, host cities and any other facilities relevant to the operation of the FIFA World Cup finals. For you finals you must meet the following requirements. A. Provide ATLEAST 8 stadiums with a MINIMUM capacity of 40,000seats B. No one given city can contain more than 2 host stadiums. C. The event final must be held in a venue larger than 55,000seat capacity. D. The opening match must be in a venue larger than 50,000seat capacity. E. One stadium of more than 30,000seats but less than 40,000seats will be allowed per bid if necessary. F. It is suggested your major venues should have adequate roofing. G. It is suggest that most venues have rectangular seating systems, rather than track and field or oval shaped stadiums. H. You are to provide a MAXIMUM of 16 competition stadiums. 9. Media Operations Explain what facilities will broadcast your World Cup all over the world. 10. Budge and Finance Provide adequate information to affirm your bid as finically viable and sustainable. 11. Dates of the Event What dates will you schedule the World Cup for? 12. thatsnotmypuppy
Burrito isnt an alias - but I know who he is. He is a mate from a U2 chatsite who is a soccer mad idiot. No offense Juanes!! I pointed him here and I think he has posted on other topics? I also asked him to vote in the Eurovision comp despite much chagrin that voting for Spain wasn't an option. There is a few FIFA chat sites as you know, and I have read on a couple them discussing bids - mainly the 2010 ones - everyone seems to think Brazil will stand uncontested - thus with a bit of luck a few more will join in this comp. Anyhow, I am doing the USA.

thatsnotmypuppy
Just a heads up - since 60% of the venues are in the west of Russia, maybe you better class it as a European bid - actually I have never heard of Russia being referred to as Asian - its always in the European part of the atlas, etc.

Socially and Politically I guess its part of Europe… Does Russia (and Turkey while were at it) take part in Euro? I know they do for Eurovision and UEFA. Yes... in fact, the Soviet Union won the first Eurocup and Turkey bidded for Euro 2012 but was eliminated in first round.
