AustralianFan
a big technical problem in him trying to secire the torch in the snowflake, but he did it in the end, a releif for him

Olympian2004
Well, that was really a short opening ceremony. Not much more to say here, as I watched only the last 30 minutes of it.
PikyoK
It was lovely to see the spectators cheer the torch lighter place the torch on the big snowflake sculpture. Lovely ending to a calm and happy ceremony.

PikyoK
I mean it was still generic and Chinese enough but it was a simple but good performance.

StefanMUC
Now I did not watch that propaganda show but just read that Parsons‘ speech was censored in China in parts (probably delayed broadcast by a few secs?). If the IOC/IPC had any guts, they‘d send everyone packing now. New low by Xina in their desperate attempt to deny reality.
Brekkie Boy
Just couldn't muster the enthusiasm to watch this in full, partly due to current events and partly due to how underwhelming the Olympic Ceremony was, but largely knowing we'd get no pay off with the torch moment. Did catch that though - as crap as the first time - even just lighting a slightly bigger torch within the snowflae would improve things. Liked the fireworks Agitos afterwards though.
