sebastien1214 Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 Only 3 hours left. (to internalize and accept the fact that there will be rain showers) Quote

yoshi Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 And at 4:30 exactly on Eurosport 1, the British coverage of Paris 2024 has begun. It looks overcast but they're outside without umbrellas. Let's do this! Quote
HenryOaks Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 If you can't beat the enemy, join him. I hope the rain is not constant and that it doesn't ruin the show and is used to make it more epic. After all, wet hair looks more artistic. I hope it doesn't affect the pyrotechnics or the lighting. However, I don't understand why there is no roof on the Trocadero grandstands. Are the commentators going to use umbrellas? Quote
sebastien1214 Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 The airspace around Paris (150km) is closing. (it was planned, don't worry) Quote
yoshi Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 Lots of talk about the rain already How bad is it? On the documentary it looks like there's gonna be a lot of rooftop dancing/parkour type stuff, I hope it's ok Quote

The only uncertainty is the total amount of rainfall over the entire ceremony. We are talking about 15-20mm at the moment. Quote

There goes that story-booked idea of the Flame-Thief atop Notre Dame!! Quote

zigzag Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 This really gonna be the first rain ceremony since YOG Nanjing 2014 eh? Quote
yoshi Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 Such a shame I hope it doesn't force too much alteration. The Tower is looking more visible than it was on Eurosport so hopefully that's a good sign. Quote
