At least it all comes together on the pre-packged NBC- version I am seeing! We should probably be celebrating the fact that it's even possible to watch the ceremony live in the US. 1 Quote
Olympic Fan Darcy Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 Just noticed on the bigger boats it looks like they have a nice bar downstairs so when they've had their moment they can head on down and have a nice drink Quote

Me too. at least it gives a good segue to type. i thought it was starting to get momentum with that last, largish cultural segment. Lots of items to like in there. Just a little disjointed switching between the boats and the entertainment. Paris is still looking a lovely backdrop despite the rain. Quote

kevzz Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 I really feel sorry for the athletes have to soak in the rain. I hope they won’t get sick and affect their performance. Quote

Olympian2004 Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 Now it looks like a summer opening ceremony in autumn. Welcome to central Europe, folks! This is what our summers often look like. Quote
olympian.br Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 Gosh, this is a nightmare for the organizers, so much rain. Quote
JMarkSnow2012 Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 Wow! It may be raining more than in the Rio 2016 closing ceremony ... Quote

Very true, rain or shine it's a stunning city. It's almost fitting really. Just sad for those spectators who've probably been queuing and waiting for hours (and years really) and for the athletes having to endure the cold and wet! Quote
kevzz Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 The scene of the piano man playing shows how heavy the rain is. Geez Quote
