  1. 1. Which logo should win the Istanbul 2036 Olympic Logo Comp?

Eurovision: Hey Turkey, how Turkish do you want this song of yours to be?

Turkey: Yes

And this location couldn't be more Turkish either - the heart of Istanbul for hundreds of years, the world's first shopping mall - the Grand Bazaar!:

We're not here to buy gold, Turkish delight, or anything else - we're blocking the covered streets for Round 3! Here is the damage left by Round 2:

A: 2 B: 4 C: 2 D: 4 E: 2

A binary result, or as it's also known, bloody awkward. Now, you will notice that there are only two logos in, that is because of the multi-tie - it's quicker, fairer, previously done, and frankly more exciting, to go straight to the shootout between the 4s. Plus Anthony had already sent me a 2 logo grid when he'd seen it was 2-4-2-4-2, and frankly I've hassled him enough and he deserves a break! Thank you so much for all the grids @Anthony and @munichfan, you literally saved the whole comp :) It means we lose @munichfan, plus @Victorian and Glasgow champion @JDCLauron, better luck next time.

For the rest of you, the last two, it's the final! Here are our rules:

  • This voting round will be open for (approximately) 72 hours - it will close at 10pm UK time, Tuesday 1 February - Olympic month, the eve of the first action.
  • Voting will now be conducted in rounds until one entry has an absolute majority and is declared the winner.
  • In this and following rounds, the logo with the lowest number of votes will be eliminated at the close of the poll.
  • Vote in the poll for your favourite logo. You have ONE vote, so make it count.
  • Your vote is public and can be seen by all.
  • Entrants MAY vote for their own logo if they wish. For transparency, I will not vote unless required to break a tie.
  • Votes are valid if cast by members of GamesBids as of January 1 2022 with a bona fide posting record.
  • I will rule on the validity of any suspicious or disputed votes, or who constitutes a bona fide voting member.
  • I will not vote in this, or any subsequent rounds. However, if a tie-breaker vote is needed, I will reserve my right to vote in order to break it.
  • Be fair and sportsmanlike, this is meant to be fun and the entrants all deserve RESPECT.

We'll be in one of the city's grandest locations for announcement on Tuesday. Until then, good luck and may the best logo win! :)
