One of the best things about the Six Nations rugby is the national anthems at home games, and IMHO there is something very special about Flower of Scotland at Murrayfield, when the music cuts out:

They even sometimes have a guest appearance from our explosive friend the one o'clock gun, but sadly it's not filmed there. Anyway, welcome to the only place we could possibly start - EDINBURGH CASTLE!

As it's January, there's not even much of a rugby match going on among the tourists . Anyway, we are here in the nation's capital, the heart of Scottish pageantry and tradition, to begin our 14th logo comp voting. Much to everyone's surprise, especially mine, we have a remarkable 8 entries - despite how it looked at New Year with I think 4. You love toying with me, don't you. As we have so many, and to reduce the load on Anthony and Rols, this round will be a cut round, to reduce the field before the exhaustive stage. Read on:

This voting round will be open for (approximately) 72 hours - it will close at 10pm UK time, Wednesday January 19.

Voting will now be conducted in rounds until one entry has an absolute majority and is declared the winner.

IMPORTANT - As I say, this is a cut round - so the FOUR logos that receive the fewest votes will be eliminated. The four remaining will go to the exhaustive ballot. All logos that get 0 votes will be eliminated, even if there are more than four.

Vote in the poll for your favourite logo. You have ONE vote, so make it count.

Your vote is public and can be seen by all.

Entrants MAY NOT vote for their own logo. For transparency, I will not vote unless required to break a tie.

Votes are valid if cast by members of GamesBids as of January 1 2022 with a bona fide posting record.

I will rule on the validity of any suspicious or disputed votes, or who constitutes a bona fide voting member.

I will not vote in this, or any subsequent rounds. However, if a tie-breaker vote is needed, I will reserve my right to vote in order to break it.

Be fair and sportsmanlike, this is meant to be fun and the entrants all deserve RESPECT.

That is all - time to finally get voting. Unless one logo here gets a majority - unlikely in a field of 8 but you never know - we will move across Scotland a little bit for Round 2 on Wednesday. Until then, thank you to all, good luck to all, and may the best logo win! :)

Yoshi can you please confirm what a bona fide posting record is in this case?

I know you don't have many posts, but when you came back during the Tokyo Olympics, you were very clearly the continuation of the original Scotguy, who did. You even responded when I @ed the original you at the start :P We've had no suspicious voting in this round.

UPDATE

Ok everyone wondering where round 2 is, I do have to make a request for assistance. Is there anyone around here with Photoshop who could do the grid for the round with qualified logos A, B, E and G please? @Anthony did round 1 (thanks again :) ) but he hasn't been on the board since voting by the look of it so we really need this to enable us to keep the comp moving. If you do a grid, please post it here or PM @Sir Rols - don't PM me as I don't have space so won't get it. Thank you :)
