This seems like a mainly knee-jerk reaction to the IOC's key meetings recently, involving SLC & Sapporo. They can 'explore' all they want, but yeah, they do have a lot of ground to make up for. Another very important element that both SLC & Sapporo have more of than Vancouver is snow. I

I have to say that at this point of the 2030 game, Vancouver is more like Rhine-Rhur. A nice proposal if only they had all of their T's crossed & I's dotted. And SLC (& Sapporo a good second) like Brisbane, in the drivers seat, that's getting very close to the finish line.
