At the 31 minute mark of the IOC Media Conference 9/12/21, the IOC talks a bit about the recent meeting between Salt Lake City and the IOC.  The IOC also confirms that at Beijing 2022 that the IOC will be meeting with and continuing discussions with both Sapporo and Salt Lake City.
