I never said Brisbane never got snow. Only that it’s been known to snow in the vicinity:

In other words, just like Sydney never gets snow, it sure as hell snows usually some time each year as close as the Blue Mountains - which these days are virtually an outer suburb. And it’s sure not beach weather.

The thing is, going by the charts you’ve supplied, the temps will be okay but not perfect. It won’t always be shorts and t-shirts weather. A daily max of 17-20 is not exactly balmy, and nights below 14 may not require thermals but at least some light jumper or cardigan if you’re spectating outside.  

It’s not a cold winter Sydney or a frosty Melbourne, but it’s still gonna be cooler than the average summer games. Acceptable but far from perfect.

i dont think that it is the only reason.. you are looking as usual via your own glasses.. if you say that it is ONE of the reasons that would be more acceptable.. actually it is pure coincidentally that AHMEDABAD/GUJARAT REGION is his homebase..

its tottally to do with the fact that indias new economic wants to create a 1500 km long new industrial corridor (like the RHEIN-RHUR-GEBİET) from new delhi till mumbai AND ahmedabad is just in the middle of this corridor.. modi & co believe that with an eventual olympic games will boost & promote the region.. they want to create an indian shanghai/shenzen/ghuangzhou economic reagion BUT they miss the international sound/reflection/perception.. AHMEDABAD sound more mature in the ears btw then gujarat..

but this city has practically (or is missing) the anglo-saxon-cultural-heritage that Kolkata/Calcutta, Bangalore or Mumbai has.. its just not an interesting city.. its just that the indian perception of the olympic games is not correct translated in favor of their mega-economic INDUSTRIAL-CORRIDOR.. this is my opinion ofcourse after a simple research on google..

That’s great and best wishes to the people of Ahmedabad.

But being in a vibrant and growing economic area is not going to magically make the July/August monsoon rains go away in any Olympic year.

The IOC are not going to hold an Olympics amongst monsoonal floods and there is no sign of them changing the July/August hosting rule.

Qatar for instance knows this all too well with their deadly heat in July/August.

Not the instability that the Indian Olympic Association would want and not a good look heading toward hosting the 140th IOC session in May, followed by possible continuous dialogue about a 2036 Summer Games candidature.

It’s sad for the people of India and Ahmedabad that with this postponement of the 140th IOC Session planned for Mumbai in May 2023 due to the possible suspension of the Indian Olympic Association due to their governance issues, a 2036 candidature from anywhere in India is under a huge cloud.

So a bid from India for Ahmedabad 2036 now looks dead in the water due to the  critical governance issues plaguing the National Olympic Committee of India.

Further the IOC has postponed it’s planned full IOC Session which was to happen in Mumbai in May 2023 - an increasingly looking like India will lose the entire event to another country.
