TorchbearerSydney
We wont see branding and logos for a while- it affects sponsors if there are too many Olympic 'brands' floating in the zeitgeist. I was amazed how early LA28 announced its logo- that was highly unusual.
SportLightning
Yeah, we didn't expect LA28 to launch the logos that early.

I was amazed how early LA28 announced its logo- that was highly unusual. It was part of the deal LA negotiated with the IOC at the time of the double allocation in 2017: an extended activation period to allow the marketing partners to activate earlier than usual. Since for the partners it is easier to develop an activation campaign around the final visual identity, LA launched its new brand much earlier than usual. With the very smart LA 28 logo, where there can pretty much be any "A", they can evolve the logo so that there is no fatigue effect.
