The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has committed to awarding the next three unscheduled Olympics – the 2030 and 2034 Winter Games and 2032 Summer Games – by the end of this calendar year. Looked like an April Fools Joke from Gamesbids, but that would be a great idea or concept when it comes to the IOC's new bidding procedures. Just like the IOC double awarding both 2024 and 2028 to Paris and Los Angeles respectively, that would do the same to both the Winter Olympics in 2030 and 2034, so does the Summer Olympics in both 2032 and 2036. That scenario would give an elected host city more time with the period of 11 years (within 12-15 years if given 2036 Games) to prepare sports venues and accommodation facilities for athletes, officials, and spectators, as well as completing transportation infrastructure projects in time for the games, just as Los Angeles does in time for 2028.

In addition, during the opening ceremony of Tokyo 2020 on 23 July 2021, the Parade of Nations will see for the first time that the countries that will host the next two Olympic Games, France and the United States, will march before hosts Japan enters last. What if that happened again in future Summer or Winter Games? Imagine if that happens in the opening ceremony of Beijing 2022 with the hosts of 2030 (Japan, Spain, or the United States) marching third to last, followed by Italy, hosts of the 2026 Games, being second to last to enter the "Bird's Nest" Stadium before hosts China entered last. Do the same again for Paris 2024 with the host country of 2032 entering the Stade de France third to last, while Team USA being the penultimate nation to march into the stadium before the hosts France.
