baron-pierreIV
Jacque (that's Mr. Rogge to all of you) just announced that the Marshall Islands became the 203rd accredited NOC. Goody. We're getting up there. Now, if only those giant nations like the US, China, Canada, Australia, etc., would split up into at least 8 mini-countries, it would come close to my goal of seeing 250 NOCs for great-grandpappy's dream child (well, that's both the IOC and me). And Summer Opening Ceremonies would run at least 7 hours. More commercial air-time to sell; more money for the IOC!!

Guardian
Link: Marshall Islands I guess the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games is going to have at least this one to contend with in the opening ceremony.
wamel042
This "country" already competed in the World Championships Athletics. In 2005 Domeio Kabua was listed in the 100 metres, but did not start!! Also Takilang Kabua (sister of Domeio?) didn't start at the women competition. Anybody knows why both didn't start? hektor
I think that this achievement will be the most celebrated success of the mandate of Mr Rogge...
