jimmyc
The NY Times, Aug 6, is reporting that USOC Chairman Peter Uberroth is pushing to have the decision to drop softball(but not that to drop baseball) reversed. One thing he wants done is to make the results of the elimination vote public. However only the International Softball Federation can make that request, so he needs their help. Uberroth claims that several IOC members have told him that they were confused by the vote, thinking that they were only eliminating baseball. baron-pierreIV
Ehhhhh...Wunderkind Ueberroth is losing his marbles. I really don't see his sticking up for softball. And funny thing is, he WAS Baseball Commissioner right after the 1984 gig. What gives, Peter? :suspect:
Infinite_Olympics
I support anything that could get the elimination of two entertaining and great Olympic sports reversed. Good luck to Uberoth and the USOC! I have confidence that I will hear..."And, later, on CNBC, Softball...as the USA faces off against Host Nation Great Britain. And, later, watch Australia face off against Team USA's star-studded baseball team live from London."
