O´Connor Waives Appeal

According to FEI official website, Cian O´Connor attorneys gave up about appelaing the  decision of FEI Judicial board in disqualifying him from the Jumping Events in Athens. So, medals will be redistributed for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places as follows:

Gold: Rodrigo Pessoa and Baloubet du Rouet

Silver: Chris Kappler  and Royal Kaliber

Bronze: Marco Kutscher and Montender 2

So, count one more bronze medal for Germany, change a bronze for a silver for USA and change a silver for a golden to Brazil  :D  :D  :D !!!!!

If I remember correctly, that ended up with Ireland having no medals to show for at Athens 2004.

As for the "biggest tournament" for this year in show-jumping, I can't be sure. I'm biased that it will be the Masters tournament in Spruce Meadows in Calgary. I don't know quite yet how much prize money in involved here, but I know it really attracts the showjumpers big time.

Most of all, those of us involved here will know later on which country will host the 2010 World Equestrian Games. So far, I think it is a battle between France, the USA, and the UAE.
