Here are the 8 games in round two: Saturday: France v Argentina, Uruguay v Portugal. Sunday: Spain v Russia, Croatia v Denmark. Monday: Brazil v Mexico, Belgium v Japan. BTHarner
This has been the best World Cup in at least 20 years. Most matches have been nothing short of enthralling and, based on these matchups, this should continue to be the case.
Ikarus360
The world cup is about to get even better, now that they've finally got rid of this fucking orc, who should had never been allowed to assist on the first place.
StefanMUC
Not the only Argentinian flying home these days.
Ikarus360
Both Messi and CR7 out of the World Cup in the same day. Holy crap. These days I actually feel anyone can win this WC this year.
yoshi
I thought the same - till Mbappe (& France more widely) turned up. His/their speed against Uruguay's defence will be an epic quarter final.
Ikarus360
I actually feel bad for Uruguay. Cavani was their top player and the one who scored the two goals against Portugal, and he might not recover in time for the match with France. Dezcrafty
Or maybe just luck. You never know! (At least not until after the WC!)
Ikarus360
I know many here would like that Russia actually cheated. In all honestly, Spain was plagued with lot of issues: Kicking out the coach just two days before the WC started, a goalkeeper who can't catch a ball even if his life depended on it, an absolutely terrible defense, struggling to beat second rate teams like Morocco and Iran. Spain was doomed from the very start to lose, only that they were too prideful to realize it.
yoshi
I thought this World Cup was crazy enough anyway... Now England have won a penalty shoot-out - we're in the twilight zone
Rob.
The Footballing Gods were at work last night. Both sides got what they deserved.
