A-Money1983
Another postponement... Are we actually going to see skiing events after the closing ceremonies, or even worse get scratched?? These delays are getting annoying! Sir Rols
To be fair, though, it seems to be par for the course, especially at the winter games. Both Vancouver and Sochi had more than their fair share of postponements. And summer-wise, Rio too had to do so for some of the rowing events at least. When it comes to outdoor events, you are hostage to the weather, and the winter events in particular demand some exacting conditions. A-Money1983
I think Nagano has a full cancellation in one of its events. I could be wrong.
TorchbearerSydney
It is a fine balance- too cold and wild for events, or too balmy and warm for good snow....
SkiFreak
That's what you get when you build venues in the middle of a wind farm. See all those turbines on those hills?

That was in Japan indeed, but it was the Alpine World Championships in Morioka 1993 - Men's Super G got cancelled altogether eventually.
