Also, there was supossed to be a Pagoda segment (there were props with the shape of roofs). I guess either they discarded it, felt the strong winds would had screwed it up, or that will be a Closing Ceremony thing.

Agree. Not worth getting less than 3hrs of sleep to see it live and probably not worth opening a free hulu trial to see the remainder of it after the NBC only offering the 1st 30mins for free.

According to the official Twitter account, the river segment with the kids was an allegory to the Miracle on Han River aka South Korea's economic resurgence and becoming a big player in the present.

I'm relieved it wasn't the North/South guys. Everyone knows deep inside this pretense of unification isn't going to last much after the games are over.

The Dove segment would had been so much better without Imagine.

There is a bit of discussion right now though, given the place where these murals are at present day is China at Jilin Province (even if they did belonged to ancient Goguryeo)
