Ikarus360 Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 A short vid of how EXO rehearsed their number for the closing. Also, I guess i'll try posting spoilers of the Paralympics ceremonies when I get them.
Rob2012 Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 The flame lighting ceremony at Stoke Mandeville Hospital here in the UK, which has become a tradition marking the start of the Paralympic torch relay, has been cancelled...because of snow.
baron-pierreIV Posted March 2, 2018 Report Posted March 2, 2018 /\/\ LOL!! Maybe they should find a snowless permanent location in the Mediterranean??
WD96 Posted March 6, 2018 Report Posted March 6, 2018 Any news regarding the opening ceremony of the Paralympics?
PikyoK Posted March 6, 2018 Report Posted March 6, 2018 No. Not so far. I guess after that Reuters incident. They are really keeping the Paralympic Ceremonies a secret. However, according to a search result on Google conducted by myself, the official Paralympics website states that the ceremonies "will be a thrilling fusion of Korean culture and the country's traditional musical styles". Also, on the 2018 Cultural Olympiad website (https://www.pyeongchang2018.com/en/culture/paralympics-ceremony), it states that the Opening ceremony "will be 110 minutes long, with the theme ‘Passion Moves Us’. The Ceremony will showcase programmes and protocol elements, including cultural performances to welcome the Paralympians, the Parade of Athletes, the opening declaration and the lighting of the Paralympic cauldron." The Closing Ceremony "will kick off with the cultural event to celebrate and appreciate all the Paralympians who showed the passion and determination throughout the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games. It will be followed by the Entry of Nations’ Flags, HWANG Yeon-dae Achievement awards, and the extinguishing of the Olympic flame. A spectacular finale will mark the end of the meaningful 10-day journey of the Paralympic Winter Games."
PikyoK Posted March 6, 2018 Report Posted March 6, 2018 Also, it seems that NK and SK will march together again at the Paralympics Opening Ceremony just like the Olympics. http://world.kbs.co.kr/english/news/news_Sp_detail.htm?lang=e&id=Sp&No=134379¤t_page=
Ikarus360 Posted March 6, 2018 Report Posted March 6, 2018 Only pic I found of the stadium recently. There seems to be a large flower-like prop hanging.
PikyoK Posted March 7, 2018 Report Posted March 7, 2018 The flower prop could be a reference to the Mugunghwa (무궁화) which is the National Flower of South Korea
thatsnotmypuppy Posted March 7, 2018 Report Posted March 7, 2018 PLUS SOILER - Norwegian flag!!!!! Lol
