Looks like a great Blu-Ray set being released by Criterion:

Sadly Criterion are locked as region A/1 for their DVDs/Blu Rays.  I have an unlocked DVD player but really can't be f*cked figuring out/buying an unlocked BR player.

This is a cool collection.

I'm resisting an extremely strong temptation to buy it. I never seem to have time to watch a two hour film,  let alone that much material, so I'm not sure it would be worth the money.  That and it would be difficult to find the films to keep it up to date.  I bought the World Cup collection in 2010 and I can't find a film from 2014 to keep it current.

Yeah, it will take a while to finish watching this 100years Olympic collection.

I note there's no mention in that collection of the official Sochi film "Rings of the World" (2015). There's also no mention of it in IMDB, as far as I can tell.

I wonder if the Rio official film "Days of Truce" (premiered last weekend) will get a commercial release.

I think there's an agreement made between the IOC and Criterion not to include the latter two so partly as to allow time for perhaps a commercial release on a recent cycle and just focus on up to 2012. Every few years perhaps subsequential editions will include future Olympic cycles.

Glad to see the Munich documentary Visions of Eight included. Do remember seeing it many, many years ago locally on TV one Saturday afternoon. Had to wonder why that one never got included as part of the Olympic series with many of the past documentaries like when Warner Vision Australia promoted them back in 2000 in the Sydney lead-up. On the other hand, if you know Munich, no need to go there.
