GBModerator
Reporting for Paris, France – Paris’ 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games bid Tuesday received a message of resounding support from newly-inaugurated French President Emmanual Macron when in his first week in power he welcomed members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Evaluation Commission to the Elysée Palace. Along with Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo and the Paris 2024 […] View the full article
Roger87
Mike Lee may had prepared Macron for gaining these votes like he did with Blair and Lula da Silva.
Mainad
The Blair Effect? With his youthful good looks and dashing manner, Emanuel Macron appears to be France's answer to Tony Blair and his presence at the crucial IOC meetings could well have the same galvanising effect on Paris 2024's chances as Blair's did for London 2012. I kind of think Paris already has this in the bag anyway but, then again, many of us thought the same about the 2012 bid. IMO Macron should go to Lima and make sure there will be no last minute hitches for the bid by avoiding the tactless gaffes made by Chirac that helped scupper the 2012 bid. Both he and Estanguet present a fresh, youthful air that should be more appealing to voters than their dour, middle-aged predecessors of 12 years ago! Roger87
Well, considering his goodwill and honeymoon stage, only Lausanne will be enough, especially if Los Angeles will prefer going to 2028.
LatinXTC
Oh man if LA doesn't secure the 2028 games for themselves ahead of the September vote, then you can bet your sweet ass that short-fingered vulgarian will make a trip to Lima just to try but miserably fail at upstaging Macron. LMFAO, Trump would need to born again to be like Macron at this moment, heck Trump may need to born again to make a full sentence in English. Doesn't matter if Putin is linked with the hackers to mine French democracy, and according to you, it's bad to him defending the democratic process of France, but hey, coming from you and your clear obtuse, small minded, cynical SO smugness and political ignorance, it's not that surprising you came with these "type of comments" without any rational point. Related to imitation allowed, that's a great shade against a man which drop USA of one of the most important responsabilities in defense of environement. If any case, imitation is the least of the problems.

The great thing about Trump is watching people twist and spin.....it's like even in a forum post you can just sense the foam coming from their mouths.......it's truly extraordinary. Obama unilaterally signed the United States up for this charity plan to subsidize the rest of the globe because she knew there was NO WAY our senate would ratify such an imbalanced plan had it been brought forward in a legitimate way. You can blame Obama for not gong through the right process, which made it so easy for Trump to overturn.
Roger87
Don't worry i'm O.K. my health is excellent. But I guess between RuFF and you, my patience/tolerance is reaching levels of empathy or even as pity. If you think the great thing about Trump is watching people twist and spin without facing counterbalances and responsibilities, well that confirms your standards and levels of humanity beyond the smugness. But hey, maybe it's that new sense of self relevance of the population of SoCal, as many foreigners had recently expressed including some dear colleagues and friends in the recent trips. In any case, unless something huge happens, I will keep my distance for mental health and faith in humanity relating to trolling bad jokes, terrible judgements and other stuff. I just had to laugh when I read that. If anyone is twisting & spinning, having a coronary event & foaming at the mouth it's those two 'gurlz' whenever they THINK that anyone is "downplaying" L.A. I mean paul has an incredible sense of projection that is 'truly extraordinary'. Lmfao
