Opening Ceremony of the 12th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities of People's Republic of China

Two segments from the Opening Ceremony of the 1991 U.S. Olympic Festival held at Dodgers Stadium Los Angeles. In the first clip the ceremony begins with a nod to the Welcome segment from the 1984 Olympic opening as the band plays John Williams' magnificent Olympic Fanfare and Theme from those games.

Greatly reduced from its 4 hours of coverage, we get to see the Australian Seven Network presentation of the Atlanta 1996 Opening Ceremony with the (mostly) Australians at Barcelona 1992 succeeding footage with Telstra, Coca-Cola, Ford, McDonald's, IBM, National Australia Bank, Nike, Ansett Australia, Mitsubishi Motors, Yellow Pages (how quaint now), Cadbury, Sanitarium, Radio Rentals, RAA, and Adelaide Bank. Got the now-requisite IOC copyright that became standard and comes right before every televised segment (but with an American voiceover here, didn't become Aussie henceforth until Sydney 4 years later). The intros and with Gary Wilkinson leading viewers to then Olympic Stadium--there's even an Atlanta Knights IHL cameo! Bruce was at the 7's IBC studio. Wilkinson and McAvaney was joined by Sandy Roberts for the OC for the countdown. Largely it's going to be Team Australia 1996, the 3rd largest delegation in Atlanta at 420+ athletes, appearing at 11:38 after coming down the ramp lead by Andrew Hoy. So clearly 7 is using its own cameras in following them along the track and into the field in keeping their profile on them as other nations like Austria, Bangladesh, Bahamas, Bahrain, Barbados, Belgium, Benin, Belize, BVI, Belarus, Bulgaria, Brunei, Burkina Faso, and Denmark are announced but never shown during this--and then with the Kiwis for a bit. Australians got it live at 10am AEST and then for a encore presentation at 7:30pm:

CBC showed Canadian delegations over other countries for Canadian coverage then

Yes, I certainly remember that when watching the CBC version on YouTube back multiple years ago then. Many were gathering around along the track after coming down the ramp, holding up the parade, as the Canadian athletes took photos of themselves at the Olympic flagpole. Like to see it again for myself.

There were no smartphones to take selfies then so they had to use their old-school flip phone or a digital camera to capture the moment.
