I highly doubt that. If that had been the case, the plane would have crashed a lot later than only a few moments after take-off. Planes usually do have plenty of reserve fuel on board so that they could fly an additional hour or so after having reached their destination. Sorry, that was a bad-taste reference to the other recent plane crash that wiped out the Chapecoense football team, the cause of which was confirmed a day or two ago.
