brasilolimpico
I just want to laugh. The protests are a minority everywhere , the bulkier were booing at the opening that were expected ( including Dilma if she were president ) . Now for the facts. The Senate likely will approve later this month the definitive removal of Dilma , and this causes concern of the political left . So they try to embarrass Brazil in the Olympic Games. Research shows that the majority of the population supports the impeachment . The acting president is not seen as a good person , but most think it better than Dilma . I do not know the information that Temer is ineligible . The TV GLOBO is doing very well with the Olympics , the audience is spectacular . Cauê
Why many Brazilians are against Globo TV? The productions made by Globo TV (based in Rio) are bad productions? Not exactly. Understanding Part of an article published by Forbes in 2013, about the manipulation against Lula in 1989 Thousands of Brazilians have poured onto the streets in the past few weeks to vent their anger at government corruption and poor public services. In spite of the protests being initially sparked by a rise in public transport prices in cities like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, they quickly mushroomed into much broader discontent, including a growing distaste of Brazil’s largest media empire, Organizações Globo, especially its behemoth broadcaster, Rede Globo, by far the country’s most-watched. [...] As a consequence of the size of its viewership, Rede Globo is in a position to exert significant influence on the outcome of national politics. An example of that is an episode that took place during the 1989 presidential election, when the network aired the final debate between Fernando Collor de Mello and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, showing excerpts of it on its news shows afterwards and giving Collor considerably more air time than Lula, juxtaposing some of Collor’s best moments during the debate with some of Lula’s worst, and therefore helping Collor win the presidency that year. Rede Globo only recently publicly apologized for the incident, even though it never really admitted to having purposely helped Collor. The acknowledgement of the presidential debate faux pas didn’t stop the network from being routinely accused of benefiting certain bipartisan special interest groups and persons more than others. Indeed, most of today’s largest media outlets – that appear respectable to outsiders – supported the 1964 military coup that ushered in two decades of rightwing dictatorship and further enriched the nation’s oligarchs. guilherme
During the world cup 2014 protests against the workers party (PT) government and DIlma president were prohibited in all stadiums The same law sanctioned for the world cup by Dilma is used against political protests in the Olympics It´s only censorship when it´s against your political agenda.
