LatinXTC
Race. Eddie the Eagle looks corny as hell. Plus there's no shirtless Hugh Jackman scene so that's a given no! Plus it would be interesting to see if Race touches on the backlash Jesse Owens received for the comment he made about getting a handshake from Adolf Hitler of all people and not FDR, our own president after his Olympic wins. Quaker2001
I already saw Race. Well put together, so I think I have to go with that one. Eddie the Eagle seems like it could go the route of Cool Runnings and take certain creative liberties that aren't true to the original story and make it less of a bio-pic. I hope that's not the case though. ..and my fears are confirmed. This is from IMDb - On 6 June 2015, the real-life Eddie Edwards himself told BBC news that the movie will be 90% made up. Edwards said, "I've been warned only 10 to 15% of it is based on my life."

thatsnotmypuppy
'Eddie The Eagle' - ski jumping on a big screen will be spectacular. The Jesse Owens story has been well and truly covered elsewhere. I can't imagine 'Race' will add anything to his legacy.
Durban Sandshark
There was the Jesse Owens Story TV mini series. Looking forward to seeing Race. As for the Eddie The Eagle movie, maybe. Would like to know will it touch on him training in a mental hospital, something he actually did, as part of the liberties taken and be entertaining with it. Not really thrilled generallyn about liberties taken from real life like the cliched malcontent athlete turned struggling coach. I also noticed famed but troubled Finnish ski jumped Matti Nykannen is in the cast--not the real one, mind you.
BTHarner
I saw "Race" on Friday. It had a bit of embellishment for dramatic effect as well.

Chateau Petrus
Saw both films today I prefered a lot Race A must for olympic fan. We discover that corruption existed about Olympic 80 years ago. Eddy the Eagle remind me the movie Cool Running about the Jamaican Bobsleigh Team at the Calgary. More an entertainig movie than the other one
