Technical probs with GB

Recommended Posts

Am posting this here because in the "Technical Questions" folder, my plea/query seems to be ignored.

Is anyone else having problems with PG&E ads? WHen I'm on the latest page of whatever topic, right after the first post, there's a banner ad for PG&E. THat immediately "blocks" the page, i.e., it does not allow me to scroll down PAST the ad. I have to go to Reply to the Post in order to get past it.

I use Google Chrome. Is anyone else encountering this probem? ....and maybe Rob-Moderator, you might look into this???

If you're looking at this site on a PC, download the adblock plus plugin you won't see ads almost everywhere. Some sites will detect it and require you to disable it, like ABC.com or pornhub lol, but most won't care.

As far as smartphone goes then I haven't had this issue. I'm on a windows phone.

I had a similar issue earlier this year with a Jurassic World ad that not only kept growling at me - bit it also stayed mid screen when you scrolled down and there was no 'x' to get rid of it. That was with an ad blocker installed. Nonetheless after upgrading to a better ad blocker it was gone. I know advertising revenue is important and we get (most of) this forum for free so no biggy.

except by opting out, aren't you denying the site the ad impressions that go toward paying for it?
