zekekelso
Even in the public houses, there is usually a VIP room where the athletes hang out. But, still, go. Usually lots of fun, good food to buy and..... OLYMPICS ON TV!
Rastafounder
Thanks! Maybe I'll visit Germany house, it's close where I'll be staying But unfortunately the beach house is not the main club. Main club is in Barra and not open to public. Athletes will be there and not in Ipanema. Biggest chance to see athletes in person are at Swiss beach club and at Holland house. The PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games said it will operate the "PyeongChang 2018 House in Rio" on Copacabana Beach during the Aug. 5-21 Rio Olympics. It will also be open during the Sept. 7-18 Summer Paralympics. The beach is one of the main tourist attractions in the Brazilian city. The POCOG said it will remodel a kiosk, 50 meters by 8 meters, to create "an open space where visitors will be able to envision and experience the atmosphere of the next Olympic Winter Games using the latest ICT (information and communications technologies) features." Inside, visitors will be able to experience ski jumping through 4-D virtual reality. In cooperation with its corporate partners and the Korean government organizations, the POCOG will also offer cultural programs and exhibitions. Korean food tasting and K-pop performances will be held on the stage facing the beach, the POCOG added. gotosy
Quote Around the world in Rio: your A-Z guide to the Rio 2016 hospitality houses By Kiratiana Freelon and Fernanda Ezabella 22/07/2016 16H01 Plan your partying here with our handy overview of all the main country houses of the Olympic and Paralympic Games An artist's rendering of the spectacular setting of the Swiss house next to the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon During the Olympic and Paralympic Games, country hospitality houses in the host city serve several purposes. For athletes and sports officials, they offer a temporary home away from their country – a place where they can celebrate their achievements and triumphs and enjoy food and drink from home. For fans and tourists, the houses present an unmissable opportunity to watch the Olympic action on big screens, explore the culture of the participating countries and meet athletes off the field and in person, all in a unique, once-in-a-lifetime atmosphere. In Rio de Janeiro, almost 30 countries have confirmed locations for their official residences during the Games. Here is Rio2016.com’s guide to some of the most popular of the houses: where they are, when they are open, and what you can expect inside. Rio gets ready to party as hospitality houses revealed for Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016 gets its party on: athletes and stars to celebrate at hospitality houses There will be hospitality houses all over the centre of the city and in the main beach districts, located in a variety of historic buildings, cultural centres and sports clubs. About half of the houses in Rio will be open to the public, while entry to some country houses (such as those of the USA and China) will be restricted to athletes and invited guests only. Entry to many houses is free. Others will charge a fee and/or require advance booking. The different houses all vie with each other to put on the best parties in town and an unofficial competition for the best hospitality houses runs for the duration of the Games. While the Dutch house is always a favourite, any house that puts on an extra effort in Rio will have a chance of taking home the title of best in show. Here are some tips for choosing and enjoying the country houses during the Rio 2016 Games: 1) Register or buy your tickets now. Some houses require visitors to buy tickets or register online. If you already have a date in mind to visit a house, then take the plunge as soon as possible. As the Olympic Games progress, these houses get packed and your chances of getting in decrease. 2) One of the main roles of the houses is to celebrate the country’s medal winners. That means that if the Netherlands’ women’s hockey team wins the gold medal on 19 August, the Holland House will be likely to put on its biggest party the next night. That can be good and bad for non-Dutch tourists. The house will give priority to athletes’ families and people with a Dutch passport. Don’t let this prevent you from trying. It is an unforgettable experience to see Olympians honoured by their home country in the Olympic city itself. 3) If you want to go to a country house and a sporting event on the same day, look for houses that are near the zones of your sporting event – Maracanã, Copacabana, Barra or Deodoro. For venues near the Maracanã, check out the houses on the Olympic Boulevard in the city centre. For Copacabana, it is best to go to houses near the beaches. You may find it easier to save a visit to the houses for a day free of activities. 4) Save some money in your budget to pick up special country-themed gear at the country houses. Even the closed houses like Canada and USA House have a shop that is open to the public. The t-shirts will make great souvenirs. 5) All of the houses will be broadcasting the Games on large screens, so they are great places to watch the Games among fellow sports lovers. The key is choosing the right house. For example, go to Jamaica House for athletics, Holland House for hockey, Brazil House for football, Hungary House for water polo and Denmark House for handball. 5) Check the Facebook page or website for schedules of athlete appearances, workshops and activities. Once the Games start, it will become more difficult to plan, but it may be worth it to meet your favorite sports star. 5) Consider watching the opening ceremony or closing ceremony at a hospitality house. 6) There is always a VIP room somewhere. It’s up to you to know the right person to get into it. Africa Name of House: Africa House Address: Casa Shopping – Av.
