Hungary would be the last great sporting nation to host. But unfortunately unless there are significant changes to the cost of the Games this is not going to happen.

And unless the neo-fascist tendencies in Hungarian politics significantly change too.

Budapest 2024 would be as fiscally irresponsible as Athens 2004 was, topped by an authoritarian government and a strong antisemitic 2nd party. Just the stuff the IOC is waiting for.
