Quaker2001
Is anyone else curious? Because I'm kinda curious. No need to thank me for this research, woohoo... 2024 - Rome, Italy; Berlin, Germany and Paris, France are the Favourites if they all Bid. Rome, Italy would Win IMO. 2026 - Denver, United States Of America are the Favourites if they Bid. 2028 - Durban, South Africa are the Favourites if they Bid. 2022 - Oslo, Norway is the Favourite. Thank You. I might disagree with Your predictions of Hosts, but I agree that Geopolitics play a major role. Hence why: 2022 = Europe (If Olso withdraw, Asia will Host with Beijing). Because Oslo is the safe choice, if Oslo withdraw, Beijing will Host. 2024 = Europe. With Rome because the IOC won't have 3 Summer Olympics in a row outside of Europe. 2026 = North America. Because the IOC doesn't have much choice and Denver, United States Of America will probably Host. 2028 = Africa. Because the IOC will want to take the Summer Olympics to Africa, a New Continent for the Summer Olympics, with Durban, South Africa Hosting. 2030 = Europe. Because Krakow will probably present a strong Bid, if they Bid. 2032 = Europe. Because the IOC won't have 2 Summer Olympics in a row outside of Europe for a while, with Berlin, Germany Hosting. 2034 = Asia. Beijing will Win this, because of a lack of Bidders. 2036 = North America. Because the IOC will probably want to take the Summer Olympics to New York City, United States Of America. 2038 = Europe. Stockholm, Sweden will present a strong Bid, with a lack of Bidders. 2040 = Europe. Every other Summer Olympics will be in Europe for a while IMO, with Paris, France Hosting. 2042 = North America. With Quebec City, Canada Hosting maybe, with a lack of Bidders? 2044 = Asia. The IOC will want to revisit Asia, probably with Shanghai, China or Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I know. It's crazy and far into the future. I'm just predicting and this Time, trying to give some reasons aswell. I don't want insults thrown at Me, just a nice discussion. I think it's Good and Healthy that we all have different opinions and predictions. 2024 = Rome (Will Host) VS Berlin VS Paris VS Durban VS Los Angeles. (Baku, Doha and Istanbul will miss out on being a Candidate City). These are just my predictions. I predict:2024 = Rome, Italy. 2028 = Durban, South Africa. 2032 = Berlin, Germany. 2036 = New York City, United States Of America. These are just My predictions. This is what will happen:2022 = Oslo, Norway. 2024 = Rome, Italy. 2026 = Denver, United States Of America. 2028 = Durban, South Africa. 2030 = Krakow, Poland. 2032 = Berlin, Germany. 2034 = Stockholm, Sweden. 2036 = Beijing, China. 2022 = Oslo, Norway (Europe). 2024 = Rome, Italy (Europe). 2026 = Denver, United States Of America (North America). 2028 = Durban, South Africa (Africa). 2030 = Krakow, Poland (Europe). 2032 = Berlin, Germany (Europe). 2034 = Beijing, China (Asia). 2022 - Oslo, Norway. (Beijing 2nd and Almaty last).2024 - Rome, Italy. (Berlin 2nd and Paris 3rd). 2026 - Denver, America. (Krakow 2nd and Beijing 3rd). 2028 - Durban, South Africa. (Berlin 2nd and Paris 3rd). 2030 - Krakow, Poland. (Beijing 2nd and Almaty 3rd). 2032 - Berlin, Germany. (Paris 2nd and Los Angeles 3rd). Posted 07 May 2014 - 11:59 AM There is no way China will land another Summer Olympics until at least late 2030's, early 2040's. Predictions. (By the way, I'm not saying it's going to happen, it's who I think will get it: 2022 Winter Olympics: Oslo, Norway. 2024 Summer Olympics: Rome, Italy. 2026 Winter Olympics: Denver, Usa. 2028 Summer Olympics: Durban, South Africa. 2030 Winter Olympics: Krakow, Poland. 2032 Summer Olympics: Berlin, Germany. 2034 Winter Olympics: Almaty, Kazakhstan. 2036 Summer Olympics: Toronto, Canada. 2038 Winter Olympics: Stockholm, Sweden. 2040 Summer Olympics: Shanghai, China. Correction: (Get it).

Quaker2001
baron, this one is mostly directed at you.. when can we except our first inter-planetary bid? Surely Mars will show some interest at some point and we know the IOC would love to go to another planet. Imagine the perks they'd receive! zekekelso
Sheesh, people b!tch about the effects of altitide on performance. Can you image if they take the Olympics to a low gravity planet? On the other hand, Baron probably could help design some really cool effects for the ceremonies. I just hope they don't try and use a spaceship landing in the stadium with martians coming out of it. I mean, that's been done before. Would be very unoriginal. Not only is Tony Eurocentric, but...nevermind. Eurocentric? Now that we will have 4 Olympics in a row outside Europe - Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018, Tokyo 2020 and looks like Beijing 2022, 2024 is bound to come to Europe. New York City has the Best chance of landing the Olympics for America. 2036 is New York City's Time to Host IMO. I did say Denver 2030.

Yes Tony, and ask yourself why we're about to have 4 straight Olympics outside of Europe? It's because cities in Europe are choosing not to bid. Maybe 2024 will be geopolitically favorable for a European city to win, but unless there's a compelling bid out there, it's not going to happen. Any person who seriously think London has the 'climate' for the Winter Games and ignores blatant facts to justify his European wet dreams is a Eurocentric to me. Oh and my predictions are as follows: 2024 - PARIS 2028 - ROME 2032 - BERLIN 2036 - MADRID 2040 - WARSAW 2044 - ATHENS 2048 - PRAGUE 2052 - LONDON 2056 - PARIS 2060 - BARCELONA 2064 - STOCKHOLM 2068 - MUNICH 2072 - VIENNA 2076 - MILAN 2080 - MOSCOW 2084 - DUBLIN 2088 - AMSTERDAM 2092 - BRUSSELS 2096 - LONDON 2100 - PARIS Didn't we go through the whole NY Olympics things before? And it ended without a win. I don't think they want them. I know (and Quaker has said this multiple times) that NYC is one of those cities that had a go, did not win, did not care, moved on, and will probably not bid again because they see they are above the games.
