Rob.
9 Points out of 9. A Win is a Win. I did say we will get a 100 Per Cent record through this Qualifying Group even before the First Game was played. We will be talking about this next Year, with England having 30 Points out of 30, I'm quite certain of that. Six wins out of six for us now. Say it quietly, but Tony could be proven right here.

Tony E Loves Architecture
Six wins out of six for us now. Say it quietly, but Tony could be proven right here. Well, I was accused of being biased, but I actually did think we would get 30 points out of 30 points.

arwebb
Absolutely delighted for our friends on the other side of the Severn Bridge in Wales who are now almost certainly going to their first tournament since 1958. They did reach the quarter-finals of the 1976 European Championship, but only four teams made it to the finals tournament in those days. They need one more win from three games, the first of which is at home to Israel on Sunday and the last of which is at home to Andorra next month. Chris Coleman has done a wonderful job.

Faster
Iceland would have to go 0-0-3 to screw up qualification now. With games at home against Kazakhstan and Latvia its a done deal. In fact I believe an Icelandic draw on Sunday will see them through because of the two wins against Netherlands. Who are right there with Turkey as the biggest disappointments of qualification. Wales will qualify with a win at home against Israel. Belgium will have to wait until they visit Andorra to be assured. Slovakia will qualify with a win against Ukraine on September 8. Or a win against Spain but not holding my breathe. Another group that can be wrapped by this round if Ukraine stumbles against Belarus. Nothing can be decided today in Group D, but two German wins, a Polish win and two Scottish loses could see Germany and Poland qualified by the 7th. England is win and in, Switzerland beating Slovenia will see them almost there. Slovenia does have the easiest schedule to the end of qualification and could get an automatic 3rd place if they can go 3-0-1. Group F is like D, not a lot can happen. A Swedish and Austrian win would see Austria qualify. Group H and Group I are the only group where no set of results can see qualification before October. Go Norway. gotosy
Croatia loses 1 point in qualifying for swastika incident NYON, Switzerland (AP) — UEFA on Friday rejected Croatia's appeal against the one-point deduction in its European Championship qualifying group after a swastika was painted on the field before a match against Italy. UEFA upheld all its original decisions, meaning Croatia must also play its next two home qualifiers in an empty stadium, starting against Bulgaria on Oct. 10. Croatia is also barred from playing qualifiers in the city of Split, which hosted the 1-1 draw with Italy on June 12, and the Croatian football federation must pay a fine of 100,000 euros ($110,000). Croatia remains third in Group H after the sanction, four points behind leader Italy and two behind Norway after eight matches. Coach Niko Kovac was fired earlier this month after his side picked up only one point from its last two games, a 0-0 draw in Azerbaijan and a 2-0 defeat in Norway. ... Rob.
Amazing for NI! England win their ninth qualifier in a row having already qualified and topped our group, and nobody's that bothered. There's quite a gap between the quality of teams in our group and the quality we'll face in France methinks. Still, 75k at Wembley for a dead rubber. Pretty good going. (not going to mention tomorrow's dead rubber in the Rugby....less happy circumstances)

Olympian2004
Germany has played a very shaky qualification so far - and only adding to that picture is the fact that they'll have to wait until the last day of the regular qualifiers in order to (hopefully) qualify. Tomorrow, they'll have to achieve at least a draw against Georgia tomorrow in order to secure direct qualification - something which shouldn't be a difficult task under normal circumstances. But the circumstances have rarely been normal in this qualifying round for Germany. Furthermore, goalgetter Mario Götze is now seriously injured so that he can't play for the remainder of 2015.
