Sir Rols 1900
Australian weather sounds really boring ....Oh, we get it plenty exciting. Heat waves, cyclones, floods, firestorms. Just last week SE Australia got a cold blizzard front and the Melbourne outskirts got snow. And Melbourne thinks it could hold a summer games in the IOC's time window! Gold Coast Lions 39
Gold Coast the 1st regional city to host the Commonwealth Games and 1st planned city to host it too.
AustralianFan 53
Dangerously close to cyclone season in April... cyclones rarely come down that far south.m. they're usually far north queensland. Queensland is a huge state and Gold Coast is on the southern most border with New South Wales
Lee 127
What's wrong with you people on here these days. I have laughed my way through the last half hour and yet nobody on here has commented how naff and crap this closing ceremony is. The Gold Coast handover was supposed to be the saving grace but thats even worse, sooooo cheesy. They're even rehashing the song they used for Eurovision. It has been a great games, well done Glasgow. However, the ceremonies have been absolutely awful.
