Are there any track and field events in the stadium on the day?

(I think) track and field finishes on saturday, and then set-up for the Closing Ceremony starts through Sunday.

The Netball final is usually the last event of the tournament finishing a couple of hours before the CC begins.

Delighted to see Deacon Blue are on the closing ceremony bill, particularly after seeing them live just a few weeks ago.

Really not sure if I can bring myself to watch this after the awful opening. Just hope it at least stays dry for them - gives rain again tomorrow but clearing by 9pm. IIRC Manchester's closing was a washout back in 2002.

Ok thanks, Ill make sure I watch it from 2030. The BBC site says it starts 21:00 so maybe an earlier "start" time for ticket holders (?).

I recall there being an earlier start-time on the ticket earlier for Sydney 2000 Opening Ceremony to take in the pre-ceremony entertainment, and so I guess, everyone was in and seated when the Ceremony proper started.

Yes confusing... Official Glasgow 2014 Twitter account is confirming BBC will be live at 9pm, but will have first at 8pm a review of the Games highlights....

Tune into tonight’s #2014Ceremony from 9pm on @BBCOne! Review of the Games show on before at 8pm.

And for the handover show from Gold Coast 2018.... Killy is there : http://t.co/JoR5GUaNL2

Current temperature Glasgow 16 degrees so wet and very cool. Last night the hockey medallists were visibly shaking witih cold. Countess of Wessex and other presenters got drenched.
