Team USA Posted July 8, 2014 Author Report Posted July 8, 2014 Damn, it's a CONCACAF reffing team and no Joe Fletcher. I was hoping that the Canadian could get in there He's on Geiger's team but they gave the game to the Mexican Referee because it's his 3rd World Cup
ofan Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 He's on Geiger's team but they gave the game to the Mexican Referee because it's his 3rd World Cup Yeah I know but I was hoping he might get 4th or 5th official spot. Idk if a CONCACAF guy has ever done the final either? Speaking of Fletcher, there was a video that went viral of him getting snubbed from a handshake by a FIFA official pregame, and bringing his hand back to run through his hair even though he's bald to "save it". It was very smooth.
DannyelBrazil Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 VAMOS BRASIL!!! Anxious to this match. It have great chances to be one of the best matches on this World Cup. Good luck and may the best wins!!! #jogaporele #playforneymar

Faster Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 It has to be a senior match official that can become an on field official in the case of accident or injury to the primary official. Hopefully Germany can take the next step and get into the Final. Not sure how this thing is going to play out. Praying for an Ubermannschaft performance from Germany.

Sagacious Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 It will be difficult for Brazil without Silva and Neymar. Really don't understand why still some media think Brazil are favourites :-| Oliver Bierhoff knows how to win a trophy. The 46-year-old former AC Milan striker scored the winning goal for Germany in the Euro 1996 final against the Czech Republic at Wembley. Bierhoff, the German national team's general manager, took some time out ahead of the semifinal against Brazil on Tuesday to take a phone call from ESPN FC and talk about Germany's chances, as well as their use of technology to get an edge over their opponents. http://www.espnfc.us/blog/world-cup-central/59/post/1938895/german-legend-oliver-bierhoff-is-general-manager-for-the-german-side-in-the-world-cup-semifinal-versus-brazil
Alexjc Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 I think Brazil's Stars have been hyped up a little too much, but then it is the World Cup. Brazil can still pull off a victory but I do fear Germany will stay the course...Would really love it if Brazil pulled through but equally not fussed if Germany prevails. Whoever wins today, I support in the Final.

You said you would support Argentina other day Please support them One German fan I don't want a single person telling me tonight "Well you had a really good run and your squad looks promising, I'm sure 2018 will be your year." ****. THAT. ****.
Alexjc Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 You said you would support Argentina other day Please support them Yeah but but only if they beat Netherlands...and it may not happen. If it ends up being an all European final (I hope not), I'll support Germany.
Sagacious Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 Germany don't have to worry about facing Neymar on the pitch - but they could have face 60,000 Neymars in the Belo Horizonte stands. That's because Brazilian sports daily newspaper Lance! has a cut-out mask of the Selecao star on their front page. What a frightening sight that would be... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/27580875
Bezzi Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 4 hours until the match and I'm already nervous. If Brazil and Argentina advance towards the final, I think I will not sleep until Sunday.
Tony E Loves Architecture Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 In My Personal Opinion, I think Germany will edge this One, although against a very strong Brazilian Defence. I would of added a very strong Striking Force aswell, but obviously, that sad incident happened with Neymar. Brazil have a World Class Goalkeeper in Julio Cesar, an Excellent Defence in Dani Alves, Marcelo, David Luiz and Thiago Silva. They still have Hulk up front and will probably start Jo aswell. I'm still not sure about Fred. He hasn't had the best Tournament. I'm not convinced with Brazil's Midfield, Ramires doesn't impress Me and Oscar was quite quiet against Colombia. They still have Luiz Gustavo I suppose. I'm not convinced that Brazil have the strongest Substitute Bench, maybe Fernandinho and Dante might be the Best on the bench. I'm not too impressed with Paulinho and Willian. With Germany, they have Manuel Neuer, who is arguably, one of the Best Goalkeepers at the Present Moment. They also have Phillipe Lahm, who IMO, is the Best Left Back in the World. They also have Per Mertesacker (Arsenal Player, My Club Team) and Mats Hummels or Jerome Boateng. They also have Benedikt Howedes. For the Midfield, they probably have the Best International Team Midfield at the Present Moment, with Mesut Ozil (Arsenal Player), Bastian Schweinsteiger, Sami Khedira, Toni Kroos and Mario Gotze, For the Strikers, they have Lukas Podolski (Arsenal Player), but his injured, Miroslav Klose (One of the Best Strikers of All Time IMO), Thomas Muller and Julian Draxler. .... Having said that, I think Germany will edge it, with a 3-1 Win to Germany. (I'm Predicting because it's part of the Tournament Fun).
StefanMUC Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 Well, I'm sure we'll win tonight, if we're allowed to have all 15 players that you mentioned...
Tony E Loves Architecture Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 Obviously, not all of them will Play. Just Germany's Squad is impressive. Podolski is obviously injured, so he won't play.
cslopes54 Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 Gotta be Brazil Vs Argentina , in the finals. If it's for the 3rd place match it should be pretty intense as well. Brazil can't face netherlands that's what I fear. We gotta win this cup, We won't have it any other way .
zekekelso Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 Really don't understand why still some media think Brazil are favourites :-| The odds makers do have Brazil as a ever-so-slight favorite. There's going to be some emotional home-town money on Brazil, so my guess is the odds makers actually put Germany as a slight favorite but are trying to keep the betting even. Argentina is a clear favorite for the odds makers over the Dutch.

I believe Germany is the Favourite, Holland is 2nd Favourite, Brazil 3rd and Argentina 4th.
