Mauricio 39
We have exactly one month to go.... And little, almost nothing we know aabout the ceremonies.. what tells us that they have known to keep the secret perfectly. Four years ago, for London ceremonies,we already knew some key parts: the countryside beggining, the Industrial revolution section, the participations of James Bond and Mr. Bean and the NHS tribute... Now we know... nothing!!!!! So far, the #KeepTheSurprise has been too successful!!!! Yeah. Only general ideas and concepts. Nothing more.
brasilolimpico 31
I agree. It's amazing how nothing leaked the tests yet.

LatinXTC 270
https://globoplay.globo.com/v/5143882/ Someone translate that please lol It's so much harder to translate Portuguese as it's spoken than when it's written since the pronunciation is too far different from Spanish than the way it's written. Mauricio 39
https://globoplay.globo.com/v/5143882/ (Anchor)And the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics at the Maracanã? It is in the final stretch, lots of trials, a lot of expectation and secrecy. Total mystery. (Reporter)It was born to be a temple of football and has again attracted the eyes of the world because it is getting dressed for an unforgettable party. Since the Maracanã was closed for the Olympics, it became a fortress. One of the biggest challenges of the Organizer Committee is to hide what is being prepared in there to enchant the world. On 5 August, the football leaves the stage and the Brazilian culture enters the field. What is beyond that door is a great mystery. (Abel Gomes) We are here with a scenography of over 10,000 square meters. A scenography that is all changing. (Reporter) To keep the secret, even the airspace of Maracanã is restricted. This is the closest our lenses can get. If the Beijing Opening Ceremony in 2008 impressed by costliness and London in 2012 by technology, the Brazilian party bet in another way. (Abel Gomes) It is a more analog show, so to speak. I think, it touches the heart in a deeper way. The concept is to show a beautiful, modern and elegant Brazil. (Third Man) It has no stereotype. It is something Brazilians will be proud of. (Reporter)As about 5,000 volunteers chosen in auditions and professional artists rehearse, laborers work at a frenetic pace. In the headquarters, where everything is created, professionals of twenty nationalities, 90% of Brazilians, take care of every detail. (Third Man) We have costumes being made out of Brazil, costumes being made right here at Maracanã, and in Samba Schools. So, we have a little of everything. (Reporter)Into a month, the world will rediscover Brazil in this huge theater named Maracanã.
baron-pierreIV 1693
/\/\ Thanks for that. But what he says is nothing new. All the previous producers and directors all said the same thing -- secrecy, getting to crunch time, the preps, thousands of people involved -- one way or another. It's all part of putting on a big show.

baron-pierreIV 1693
/\/\ Ah. But I don't see how that's going to fly in the confined space of the stadium. Obviously, if it's going to be airborne, it will have to be with wires...or projections.

Sir Rols 1901
Winds are changing. One can feel it on Rio streets. Do you mean that anticipation and excitement is building up? That's great news if it is. This should be the time you Brazilians should be getting ready for the party of your lives!
bairrosfelipe 120
F#### WRIGHT BROTHERS!!!!!!!! SANTOS DUMONT IS THE KING OF AIRPLANE!!! Lets remenber... Why would there be a tribute to Santos Dumont? Never even heard of the guy...and what does "flying" have to do with the Olympic Games? I mean if you want "flying," then maybe go back to "hot-air" balloons and the Montgolfieri brothers. But not even the French have used such an irrelevant idea for (their) Olympic ceremonies. Psssst ...it's going to be the rainforest, Amazon, Brazilian flora and fauna that will feature mostly in the OC. Santos Dumont is the inventor of the airplane. He was the first man to fly. Thats why the first airport of Rio de Janeiro is called Santos Dumont. And its dont have conection with the olympic rings, this is just a parallel topic Now you can ask this to the directors of the opening ceremony.
