And yet again, our national team shows football magic after quite a draught in the past months. This was a great performance, and a very deserved victory, also in that extent. Of course it could be a

98,6 % at the Switzerland Game? Come on that´s a joke. It looked like the Stadium was only half filled.

For me the stadium looked almost full at mid-second half (some visible block of chairs without people, but not many)

People in the stadium said the entrance in the stadium and food selling was taking more time than normal...

Half-hour before kick-off

Two Argentine supporters were arrested yesterday inside Maracanã, because of racism against Brazilians (note: Racism is a non-bailable offense by Brazilian law).

This is something Argentines does not understand and will never understand. Racism is not cool. Black people are not inferior and call somebody as a "damn black" is a fellony in Brazil.

Hopeless case.

Huge debate on talkback radio in NZ raging about stadium construction here, and the mention was made of what an icon stadium the Maracana is and the idea to build the fabled Stadium NZ to a design that would stand out like the iconic Rio facility. At the moment the new Christchurch covered stadium would only seat 40kpax and would suit that city, but Auckland needs to consolidate its old and tatty grounds. It all hinges on what to do with Eden Park stuck in the middle of suburbia. The only place is for a 60kpax stadium is the waterfront. It will cost a billion dollars.

Thanks to Brazil and its awesome stadium program, this has inspired NZ to start the long process in building the delayed Stadium NZ.

If I say this to some people in my Facebook timeline, they would kill me. "A developed country basing a building plan on Brazil? You are nuts".

I'm glad NZ is taking Maracana on count. That's a special feeling for me.

Germany vs. Portugal can be one of the best matches of this WC. Guys, don't miss it!

Until now, only argentineans and chileans caused problems. After facing the police in Rio chilean fans went through inspection and entered the stadium in Cuiabá with fireworks and shot in the field at the end of the match.
On the other side, the japanese fans don't leave the stadium until the area is clean.

Any type of racism is unacceptable. Whether it's towards White People, Black People, Asian People or anybody, it's wrong.

Of course you are right, Tony - therefore such sports events are very good to share with people from around the earth, due that is a kind if 'team-building-process".

(Except: we Argentineans are more equal) ;)

And Salvador is the place to be during the group stage!

Yes!!! It's one of the hot spots in this world cup group stage.

The hottest spot is Manaus. Just ask Italians and English
