SkiFreak
I'm going to head downtown to a casino to watch the game from their bar. Molson's is going to have "Canada Hockey House" setup down there.
Team USA
Meanwhile America sleeps I don't think anyone is going to wake up except hockey fans plus there rebroadcasting it at 10am so no point really to stay up till 3:30am

jawnbc
I'm torn. Of course I'd love Canada to win. But I think it's a good thing when sports are competitive at all levels--and were I to pick my second choice it would be Sweden. Poor Team USA having their "Nagano moment" in the bronze medal game. We know very well what that feels like. Aw fdic it GO CANADA GO!!!!

Quaker2001
Can't in good conscious root for Canada here. United States has more medals than Canada, don't want them to be able to claim more gold Go Sweden!

Faster
Just noticed that Toews is wearing 16 and Bouwmeester is wearing 19. Always thought that Canadians couldn't wear 19, 66, 91 and 99 anymore.

Thanks for bringing that up again. I can't see Canada's smothering D giving up 2.
Faster
It is true though. This is Sweden. I know they are missing Zetterberg, Backstrom and someone else that I can't remember right now, but all it takes is a bad bounce, a bad penalty or a Karlson slap shot and Sweden is back in this. Can you imagine what a suckfest it would be if the NHL had the semifinal losers playing for 3rd?
Faster
That is just a cop-out. Kids in North America that play at the top level of team sports play 3rd place games all the f-ing time. Yea it sucks to play for bronze, but you are still playing for the name on the front of your jersey.
Faster
Canada hasn't given up a goal in about 150 minutes.

Yea it sucks to play for bronze, but you are still playing for the name on the front of your jersey. And have a little pride. I mean, if you lose a close game, that's one thing. Don't give the impression to the rest of the world that you completely mailed it in because the bronze medal isn't a big enough prize for you And that might have done it. Sweden maybe could have gotten 2, no way they're getting 3 though
