dancingbrogues Posted February 15, 2014 Report Share Posted February 15, 2014 I don't feel very patriotic about Austria these days having lived outside for a long time, but really pleased for Fenninger and Hosp as we were having a bit of a poor games, but I don't like the fact that one of the Austrian coaches designed the super g course, seems a bit of an advantage. Amazing come back from the Swede in the women's x country, watching her reel them in and take out the German has been my favourite moment of the games so far! Nah, Slovenia outplayed Slovakia for all 60 minutes. The only reason Slovakia was in the game was because Slovenia took a lot of dumb penalties. Faster Posted February 15, 2014 Report Share Posted February 15, 2014 Slovenia has less hockey players than my hometown of 82,000 people. Slovakia finished 4th at the last Olympics and is a former World Champion with a team full of NHL players (including a one of the best defenseman in the world). Slovenia has Anze Kopitar and nothing else. Slovenia has none of the pedigree or history of upsets that a Belarus (did, they suck now) or Denmark or Norway have had. Mind you if my hometown was its own country in the 80's and early 90's, it'd probably cause a lot of upsets too. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
