Happy Demchenko did well and there is really nothing to say about Loch. He is the guy that we might look back at in 15 years another Zoeggler. Pretty sure the only way Germany won't win all four gold medals in Luge is if they crash (or miss the pad) in either the doubles or the relay. Well, that's not coming as a surprise...we probably have the best training conditions here with four tracks across the country, and Hackl Schorsch as a true icon. gotosy Posted February 13, 2014 Report Share Posted February 13, 2014 IOC statement on accident at bobsleigh track 13/02/2014 The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has been in contact with the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee for details about an accident that occurred today during bobsleigh training in the mountain cluster. The accident involved an icemaker, who was struck by a forerunner bob near the braking zone after a warning signal had been given to clear the track. Further information to follow. Upon hearing of the accident, IOC President Thomas Bach told reporters during a tour of the Main Media Centre: “We have just been informed that there was an accident near the braking zone, and that a worker was hit. It is unclear why he was in this zone or what exactly happened. The information we have so far is that he suffered two compound fractures in the legs, but arrived conscious at the hospital. We are continuing to monitor the situation. They could have a men's relay, a women's relay, a men's doubles relay, a women's doubles, a women's doubles relay, a mixed doubles with man on top, a mixed doubles with man on top relay, a mixed doubles with women on top and a mixed doubles with women on top relay. Given the rate at which the Winter Olympics are expanding, this is entirely feasible by 2026. I mean OK, they burn a few calories at the start for the take-off...and then what?? They just get a free ride down? What kinda dumb "sport" is that??? And on an at least a $150 million track--which could've gone to feed a lot of hungry mouths or buy vaccinations for kids in the poor countries. It's an unconscionable activity!!
