Alexjc 354
QUARTER FINALS: New Zealand v Scotland. Australia v United States. England v France. Samoa v Fiji. Clearly a near predictable QF series...the USA surprise jumpers knocking out Wales. The Semi Finals contenders are pretty much spoken for as the firsts above, but France could provide an upset if they wanted it.
Alexjc 354
QF Results. NEW ZEALAND 40 - Scotland 4...a valiant effort by the Bravehearts in their first quarter finals but simply outclassed, albeit error ridden, Kiwis side. AUSTRALIA 62 - United States 0...hidden out of the way in Wrexham, the "other" version had a big test on. The US were the surprise team at this event but the gulf between them and the standout No 1 team in the world is obvious. Edited November 16, 2013 by Alexjc

Rob. 2046
Saw the last ten mins.....thought we'd hold on after NZ squandered that pass with a couple of minutes to go.
arwebb 133
I was at Wembley on Saturday and felt that, had we held on, there would have been an element of robbery to it. Hope the Kiwis win at Old Trafford.
Alexjc 354
I was at Wembley on Saturday and felt that, had we held on, there would have been an element of robbery to it. Hope the Kiwis win at Old Trafford. Feel sorry for the Ireland national side playing the "other" code against the "other" Kiwi team....THEY were Robbed!! I hope for the best this weekend, we Kiwis are definatly the underdogs...The Kangaroos would have to really screw up big if its a repeat of their performance five years ago. They will be very tough to beat. We need the support of the locals, if only to AVENGE the cruel sledging the Australian cricket team has heaped on their England guests in the return ashes series. Alexjc 354
Final on Saturday... Predictions and scorelines anyone?
Scotguy 330
NZ will win - probably score in the last milli second.
Alexjc 354
A powerfull start to Australia, locking NZ down at every opportunity... 15 - 2 at half time. A slow strangulation IMO...Australia are just to slick and professional. NZ absolutely dumbstruck and unable to answer.
Alexjc 354
It just gets worse for the current World Champs as Australia scores within the first minute and converts 22 - 2.
Alexjc 354
Australia now romping away with World Champion status with the try of the tournament, 28 -2. New Zealand no answer.
Alexjc 354
AUSTRALIA ARE RUGBY LEAGUE WORLD CHAMPIONS AGAIN AFTER A TOTALLY DOMINATING 34 - 2 DEMOLITION OF THE NOW FORMER WORLD CHAMPIONS, NEW ZEALAND. Right from the get go the Kangaroos smothered the Kiwis in all facets of the game. The Kiwis just couldn't break the Australian line. Congratulations AUSTRALIA. arwebb 133
I didn't see the final, but it sounded as if it was as brutal as the scoreline suggested. It's a shame the final was a bit of an anti-climax at the end of such a marvellous showcase of rugby league. This is probably the best opportunity the game has had for at least 20 years to develop. It must not be wasted.
yoshi 353
Why isn't it in the Commies? With Queensland hosting in 2018 I would've thought it'd be in the programme.
Sir Rols 1902
Why isn't it in the Commies? With Queensland hosting in 2018 I would've thought it'd be in the programme. For a games format, it would probably need to be the quicker and faster Nines format, and that would be too close to the more established and prestigious Rugby Union 7s.

The sudden drop off at the goal ends were just plain dangerous. AUSTRALIA is likely the next host of the RLWC in 2017, although there is a strong push from France and South Africa to host as well. yoshi 353
Aussie again? Surely NZ could do it alone. And South Africa??!! Do they even have league there?
Alexjc 354
Aussie again? Surely NZ could do it alone. And South Africa??!! Do they even have league there?NZRL wanted to host this tournament but since Australia was previous host, it had to go north. Also UK is a revenue powerhouse for what is a second tier sport there, totally drowned by Union which in turn is shadowed by mighty Football.RLWC is trying to get a four year lead in so a Next Host can be announced at the end of the WC final. Rols might be able to elaborate more...there is a north/south divide in League management. Almost two different planets.
Durban Sandshark 155
I do remember seeing some replica RL jerseys for teams from a South African league years ago as part for a retail ad in Rugby World magazine. Like with clubs based in Pretoria Tuskers (?), Johannesburg, Pietermaritzburg, Durban Tigersharks, Blufeomtein, Vaal Buffaloes, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town. Rols, have you played the new Rugby League Live RLWC 2013 edition for this year? Like to play it here if it, or a future edition, ever makes the PS4!
